Additional Comments

It is named "Quacking Aspen" or "Trembling Aspen" because the tree’s leaves tremble and quake even in a light breeze. This is caused by the long, flatted stalks (called petioles) on which the leaves are attached to the branches.

Why choose Aspen Wood?

Aspen is a light, affordable hardwood that often gets overlooked but has a lot going for it. It has a pale white to light cream color with a fine, straight grain that gives it a clean and simple look that works well in a lot of applications. It's one of the softer hardwoods which makes it incredibly easy to work with, and it takes paint exceptionally well which is why it is a popular choice for painted furniture, interior trim, and molding where you want a smooth flawless finish. Aspen is also the wood behind a lot of everyday products you might not think about like matches, chopsticks, and sauna benches because it doesn't splinter easily and stays cool to the touch even in high heat. It's lightweight, easy to machine, and one of the more budget friendly options available which makes it a great choice when you need a lot of material without breaking the bank.
