Roasted Maple Wood

Roasted Maple is heat-treated maple that has been thermally modified to improve stability and moisture resistance while deepening its natural pale tone into warm caramel to rich amber shades. It retains maple’s smooth grain and workability but with a more uniform, aged appearance that’s popular for furniture, cabinetry, and modern woodworking projects.

Why choose Roasted Maple Wood?

Roasted Maple takes everything people already love about Maple and makes it better. The roasting process more properly known as torrefication, transforms the naturally pale color into a warm, honeyed brown that runs all the way through the board giving it a richness that looks like it took years to develop. That same process makes it more stable and resistant to moisture than regular Maple which makes it a reliable choice in environments where humidity is a factor. It has the same fine, consistent grain Maple is known for but with a depth of color that makes it a popular choice for guitar necks, flooring, and furniture where you want that classic Maple performance with a lot more warmth. A clear finish brings out that toasted color beautifully and lets the natural grain do the talking.
