Padauk Turning Blank

We will provide you with a high quality Padauk bowl blank in the dimensions of your choice. Our bowl blanks have already been kiln dried and are ready to be "turned" into your next amazing project! 

We can sometimes accommodate a larger blank than our standard sizes. Please email us for availability and a quote.

Dimensions may vary +/- 1/4" as we often prefer to lightly skip dress the turning blanks to reveal grain & colour. Some blanks may also come with waxed faces and ends.

Colour and Workability

Anything made with Padauk is guaranteed to be a statement piece! With its unmistakable rusty orange colour, Padauk is certainly eye-catching. This hardwood carries a number of ribbon-like grain patterns that tend to be wide and maroon in colour. Although you can expect this hardwood to darken to a rustic burgundy over time, it will never stop being strikingly beautiful. 

Recommended Finish

We recommend using Honey Bee's Natural Wood Cream for a long lasting and food safe finish. Made with only 2 ingredients - pure beeswax and 100% food grade mineral oil - this soft paste is easy to spread and will protect and enhance the natural beauty of your woodturning project.
