Roasted Ash thins have been heat-treated to produce a warm, medium brown colour throughout the wood, not just on the surface. The roasting process also improves dimensional stability.

Try out a caramelized wood like Roasted Ash!

The torrefaction process gives the wood a uniform chocolate brown colour and the grain is quite coarse and strikes a strong resemblance to oak. Usually fairly straight-grained, you occasionally will find curly or figured boards. Roasted White Ash works really well with both hand and power tools and it takes both glue and finish well. We don’t always have it available, so grab some when you can!

In order to offer more protective packing for shipping - our lengths are often 1/4" less than sizes listed. Need a wider width or longer length? Please email us for a quote. Custom millwork charges will apply.
