We will provide you with a high quality Sapele turning blank in the dimensions of your choice. Our bowl blanks have already been kiln dried and are ready to be "turned" into your next amazing project! 

We can sometimes accommodate a larger blank than our standard sizes. Please email us for availability and a quote.

Dimensions may vary +/- 1/4" as we often prefer to lightly skip dress the turning blanks to reveal grain & colour. Some blanks may also come with waxed faces and ends.

Sapele is sometimes referred to as “White Mahogany” because of the similarities drawn between each rosy-hued, ribbon-striped wood. While the colour of this hardwood will darken overtime, the unique ribbons of grain will remain prominent for a lifetime! Originating in the tropical climates of Africa, Sapele lumber will provide you with a look unlike anything the domestic species in Canada can provide.

We recommend using Honey Bee's Natural Wood Cream for a long lasting and food safe finish. Made with only 2 ingredients - pure beeswax and 100% food grade mineral oil - this soft paste is easy to spread and will protect and enhance the natural beauty of your woodturning project.
