Zebrawood Turning Blank

We will provide you with a high quality Zebrawood bowl blank in the dimensions of your choice. Our bowl blanks have already been kiln dried and are ready to be "turned" into your next amazing project! 

We can sometimes accommodate a larger blank than our standard sizes. Please email us for availability and a quote.

Dimensions may vary +/- 1/4" as we often prefer to lightly skip dress the turning blanks to reveal grain & colour. Some blanks may also come with waxed faces and ends.

Colour and Workability

Anything crafted from Zebrawood is sure to draw attention! Named because of its remarkable colouring, it boasts golden yellow and nearly black stripes that are tightly grouped, much like the stripes on a zebra. Although it does splinter easily, any final product crafted from this stunning hardwood ends up looking incredible. While we definitely don’t recommend this wood for use with beginners, it can provide a challenging and rewarding experience for advanced woodworkers looking to create a one-of-a-kind, unique piece. 

Recommended Finish

We recommend using Honey Bee's Natural Wood Cream for a long lasting and food safe finish. Made with only 2 ingredients - pure beeswax and 100% food grade mineral oil - this soft paste is easy to spread and will protect and enhance the natural beauty of your woodturning project.
